Hi, I’m Rose Ollivro, Pro Dog Trainer with my Border Collie Merlin!

My name is Rose Ollivro. I have, owned, shown, bred and judged dogs at various times over the past 45 years. Seven years-ago I bought a border collie puppy hoping to do agility. He became reactive to other dogs and, having never owned a dog reactive dog before, I soon realised he needed help. That was how I discovered a passion for dog training and went on to achieve qualifications in the science-based learning that is Concept Training. If you are not sure what is meant by concept this is what a few of them are; Calmness, Flexibility, Disengagement, Focus, Optimism, Confidence among others. What I like most about this type of training is that it is completely force free. We never use aversive methods.

It is not complicated, it is about playing games with your dog that teaches their brain how to make correct choices. It does not matter about the age or breed, if you have a dog and it has a brain, then concept training will work! We are not about quick fixes. Nothing worth-while or lasting ever is. It may not work overnight, although behaviour changes will be obvious fairly quickly. Once the training is applied through playing games for a few minutes everyday the “Wow moments” will amaze you.
